West Allotment Celtic 2 – 1 Heaton Hawks LFC
Heaton Hawks faced a tough physical test away against West Allotment Celtic, with the home side emerging 2-1 victors in a hard-fought match.
Heaton started the game well and took the lead through an excellent finish from Kody. True to their style, the Hawks tried to get the ball down and play their passing game from the back, but the physicality and high tempo of the match made it a difficult challenge. Just before the half-time whistle, West Allotment managed to find an equaliser, sending the teams into the break level.
The second half was just as challenging for the Heaton Hawks, who continued to battle for possession in a tight midfield. Despite their best efforts to maintain their passing game, it was difficult to create clear-cut chances. The winning goal came for West Allotment when their quick winger collected the ball unmarked, drove into the box, and drilled a shot low into the bottom corner of the net.
Despite the result, the Heaton Hawks showed great spirit and battled hard against a tough opponent.
