About Heaton Hawks LFC: The Hawks’ Nest

Welcome to Heaton Hawks Ladies Football Club—or as we like to call ourselves, The Hawks. We are a competitive, community-driven ladies’ team based in the heart of the student-heavy Heaton area, dedicated to playing exciting football and building a supportive environment.

Our Mission: Together. Passing. Progressing.

Our philosophy is built on three core pillars that guide everything we do, both on and off the pitch:

  • Togetherness: We are more than just a team; we are a welcoming, inclusive Heaton community. We prioritize squad unity over individual ambition and foster strong relationships among players, coaches, and the Hawks’ Family of supporters.
  • Passing Game: We are strategic and competitive. Our style of play is based on controlled possession, playing from the back in a 3-5-2 formation, and progressing forward together as a unit. We are The Architects of our own success.
  • Progressing: We value commitment, effort, and continuous improvement. We aim to compete hard, earn our playing time, and grow together as athletes and as people.

The Reality of Being a Hawk

As a grassroots, non-league club, we rely on the dedication of our members and the support of our local community.

  • Funded by Commitment: We do not charge entrance fees for games. To cover essential costs like pitch hire, equipment, and match expenses, we rely on monthly player subscriptions. We ensure full transparency on how every subscription pound contributes directly to the club’s operation and the quality of the playing environment.
  • Our Core Supporters: Our fanbase is small but mighty—made up of the dedicated Friends and Family who we call the Hawks’ Family. They are the foundation of our sideline support, and we treat them as our VIP core.
